You know its serious when Mike explains whats happening instead of criticizes whats happening.

Using med students is a super clever narrative device. It lets them explain things to us without sounding like they’re talking about stuff they should know about.

It seems like the only inaccuracies are there for the sake of preserving the time frame for the episodes, which imo is as good as a medical drama can get.

You know how in Grey's anatomy everything seems lowkey simple and easy which makes you want to become a doctor? The Pitt feels and looks so real. It shows the difficulty of the ER/Medical Field and you really get the idea of the harships a doctor face in the ER.

Wait no sex tension, no love interest no sleeping with each other. Yes an upgrade

As a medical social worker, I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to finally see an ER show that doesn’t erase our existence. The portrayal of a social worker that everyone relies on is very accurate.

Two things that struck me, they WALK from case to case rarely run. Also, they way they subconsciously pick up gloves, no dramatic glove application

There’s no way I would’ve understood all these intricacies if I watched it by myself. I demand the show with Dr. Mike’s commentary for all episodes!

You know it's good when Dr Mike even says "This show is a bit too real" 19:51

It's really the small things that make this show amazing, like the fact there is no backround music just hits that realism so much more.

My boyfriend is a nurse and I used to be a sous chef at a fine dining restaurant. When we were watching The Bear, I had to take breaks cause a lot of the scenes in that show hit really close to home that I start getting anxiety attacks. My sister (also a nurse) recently told me about The Pitt and told my boyfriend that we should watch it after work. He was so impressed with the details of the show and also experienced some anxiety attacks due to a lot of the things hitting close to home and his reactions mirror exactly how you did (from the skin peeling part to the EKG).

First realistically overcrowded waiting room I've seen on TV.

Definitely would love for this to be an ongoing series where you provide commentary throughout the season!

As a layperson I love that most of the characters look like regular people instead of actors.

Okay - you've just sold me on this show. I was a nurse for 15 years, primarily operating theatres, and I'm a sucker for a *good* medical drama.

The classic, “I expect you do be better but I am not willing to give you more money, more staff, more resources, or more authority to make improvements. Clearly, I expect you to perform a miracle since there is little you can do to enact meaningful change.”

I’m an ER nurse. It’s cool that Dr. Mike reviewed this, but I don’t think I can watch this show. When I’m off the clock, I need to escape from the hospital, not relive my shifts. However, I think this show could be really helpful for the general public; people have no clue what we go through

I would recommend doing this for every episode of this series. As a RN who’s watched you since nursing school, your explanation is very helpful and by doing it with a show that is pretty damn accurate, this could help better someone’s understanding, especially a student in the medical field. Also it would help keep this show’s ratings up as we need more accurate versions of the medical field. Lastly, HUGE shoutout to Noah Wyle!! Loved him since ER and has followed him since. Happy for him and wishing the show nothing but success

As a born and raised Pittsburgher, I'm so honored to have my city chosen for such am amazing show. And I love how you can really tell where it takes place with the little details; the Steelers blanket, the guy asking about the Pirates game, the Permanti Bro's for lunch, mentions of places like Swissvale, Monroeville, and the Benedum, ect. I think I even heard a character say "jaggoff" in one episode, which is classic Pittsburgh slang, along with "yinz"/"yinzers" and "pop" instead of "soda" (though I'm pretty sure that's more of a Midwest thing than just Pittsburgh). And seeing my city on TV was so surreal. Especially Heinz Field, since those yellow seats are so unmistakably Pittsburgh. You just need someone to argue with Whittaker about how Heinz is the only good ketchup and talk about Kennywood and you've basically got the whole experience.

You can tell how realistic it is cuz Dr. Mike was getting anxious throughout the show. The creators of the show really make you feel like you are there in the E.R. saving lives. Great show. Great video.
