Veterans and world leaders mark 75th anniversary of D-Day

June 6 this year marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. World leaders and veterans gathered on Thursday to honor those who fell in the fight. CGTN's Stefan de Vries reports from Normandy. #D-Day

It is humiliating not to invite Russia to this event. It was after all the Soviet who defeated 80% of Hitler's arms in the East and lost 20 million citizens in that war - the US did not enter until 2.5 years later and takes the honor of victory ... Typically US!
