I love that all of his friends couldn’t help a smile

She meant “looks like that” based on his medals. She likely knows what most the medals entail.

My grandad met and talked to the Queen when she visited out town in Timaru, he came straight from work (he was a mechanic) and covered in greasy oil stained overalls, and she seen him in the crowd and asked him how he was and what kinds of vehicles he was working on they chatted for a few minutes before she had to leave, he was the only person who got to talk to her, and it turns out she loved tinkering with engines and cars so she wanted to speak to a fellow rev head

she’s looking at the medals on his chest when she’s saying it. She’s fully aware of how long it takes to get most of them.

She's thinking, "27 years is a good start" 😂

He is holding a pacestick, which is a badge of rank for a Warrant Officer Class 1, typically a Regimental Sergeant-Major, the highest non-officer post in a battalion. And he is also wearing paratrooper wings. He is a bit old but you can be sure he is as tough as dragon claws.

She reminds me so much of my granny. Those 1920s babies say what ever pulls their curiosity.. I love it

I love that the other guards are trying their best not to die laughing. It's cool she acknowledged him.

I'm an American. More than a few here shed a tear when she passed. We so admired her. She represented the UK with such dignity and charm.

This woman is absolutely amazing. No matter you stance on the royals, she was an astonishing person. She did so much that one book couldn't cover it. Talked down an assassin that came for her. Talked to the kids on the radio to give them hope in wwII when she herself was so young. Served in the army. She's remembered for her corgis but she's so much more than that. Btw one of those was a gift from her late husband, she grew to love it so much she got more.

She’s looking at his decorations, dudes been around. “Fear the old man in a profession where men die young.”

She says “looks like that” after looking at the officers medals on his jacket. It’s a huge honour to be noticed and recognised for your service from the Queen.

She obviously looks down at his medals as she says “looks like that” so she’s obviously referring to the medals he’s received.

Queen:- oh, 27 years.
In her mind:- Years for you, minutes for me.

She was a mechanic in an auxiliary service of the army. She was the first female member of the royal family ever to serve and she did it voluntarily during wartime.
