Ok ok ok for Toa Payoh, you need to try Hokkien Man Hokkien Mee. It is the best hokkien Mee in Singapore for me. Not the super wok hei kind, but the prawn and garlic stock used to cook it is glorious. GLORIOUS.

Jacks Place standard drop a lot. Tried different branches. Garlic bread not even warm, room temperature only. The soup also is room temperature.

Did you guys go on a wed/Thursday? Seletar Sheng Mian is one of the most famous stalls in lorong 8... But wasn't featured

This stall is not the best kway Chap in this lor8 Toa Payoh hawker centre. There is another stall that opens early in the morning 6am till sold out usually by 9am.! Very long queue in the morning at 6am!

Seth, there is a breakaway stall for the white beehoon. Same venue but they are few rows behind. Is a corner stall too along the walkway and the open space between the hawker and the HDB. They are super generous with their pork lard.

The stall u tried, used to eat there too and super stingy on their pork lard. Taste wise, about the same

You have to try the Ban Mian right beside the white Bee Hoon you had in lor 8 market. Lor 5 hawker centre has good fried chicken rice, bbq stingray, Ban Mian, claypot chicken rice.

Toa payoh has more hawkers centres than other towns. You missed 2 other tiny HCs at blk 9x and 7x. But really good food is hard to come by nowadays.

Good review, seth does a really good job, and I do enjoy your food reviews, but I simply just can't stand Gen's super high pitch voice. Can't she just speak with a normal tone, as her high pitch is really quite annoying.
