When I make a back up copy on the list I have a data error ( cyclic redundancy check).when I put copy *.* .. and enter it puts another *.* under and says connot find file

Even last solution doesnt work for me, after command (copy *.* ..) was wrote no files coped, whats my problem. Ofcurse others way of solutions didnt help me too.

I get 'Data error (cyclic redundancy check).' as a line above 'SYSTEM' during the command prompts after copy *.* backup. Also after the regback dir, mine says 0 files 0 bytes and 2 Dir and a number of bytes free. So I went ahead and tried copy *.* .. And it says the system cannot find the file specified. Please help with what I should do next. Thank you.

Hello. Tried restore Pc, restore system and cmd (i get 0 values for DEFAULT, SAM etc). Nothing worked. Any ideas? Thanks a lot

Man i tried the third method but when i type cd \windows\system32\config
It says the system cannot find the path specified

hello, the third method worked just fine until i wrote the command ( copy *.* .. ) i got a message ( le fichier spécifié est introuvable , in English it would be specified file not found ) . what should i do ?

Third choice worked with D drive. The last directions are a little fuzzy. The subtitles are a bit confusing, but was able to resolve. Thank you for a tutorial that saved the day!
