The reference to his surfboard was to the previous song "Oceans". It's easy to go down the rabbit hole with Pearl Jam. They are still releasing albums and touring 30 years later, ever evolving.

Eddie and Pearl Jam are legends. Few songs to recommend: "Why Go", "Garden", "Release"

I remember seeing Eddie for the first time and thinking he looks so young. Then he opened his mouth and it sounded like a 45 year old man that has seen some 💩 Iconic band, iconic voice.

A lot of these early PJ performances were incredible. Eddie sang like a man possessed by the words.

Still my favorite band to this day. Mike McCready is a criminally underrated guitarist. Eddie's vocals are still going strong after 33 years. They had a deep catalog and they continue to be one of the best live bands around. I have seen them 27 times. They always play a different show every night. Eddie still writes the setlists the day of the show based on where they are and the feeling he gets from that city. Check out Black from MTV Unplugged, Porch Live from Pinkpop, Betterman, Immortality and Given To Fly.

Thank you for reacting to this song. Even acoustic, it's a banger. Pearl Jam has been making albums and touring for over 30 years now. There's a lot to choose from on the later albums. I imagine if you heard "Just Breathe" you'd think "no way... That's Pearl Jam?!" Personally my favorite this week is "Do the Evolution" off the Yield album. It's a deep rabbit hole that looks to be getting deeper as there are many hints that we'll see a new album soon.

It’s hard to really pin it down, but I think this is my favorite PJ song. Also, I think there is some additional rasp in Ed’s voice because he was very sick with the flu or bronchitis. But the show must go on, and he definitely knocked it out of the park!
