I am sorry I had to block the visuals a little bit! Sadly, the video would've been blocked globally if I didn't do something about the visuals :( Thank you for understanding!

PS - I do not know why other reactors are able to show the video without anything obstructing the view. YT isn't very consistent with their checks. It is what it is.

Eddie Vedder is truly one of the greats. You got to hear the MTV Unplugged version of "Black" It'll blow you away.

Stacey, you absolutely need to react to Pearl Jam's 1992 Mtv Unplugged version of their song Black. Specifically that version. It's one of the best live performances of a song, not just by Pearl Jam, but of any band, period. Ask any Pearl Jam fan and I believe they'd agree! Eddie Vedder's lyrics and heartfelt delivery will tear your soul out. Be prepared with tissues, it's a tear jerker! You'll love it!

The most heartbreaking song ever is "Black" by Pearl Jam, there is a great live video of them performing it

Filmed right when the Seattle scene was exploding - this song is about a homeless man that singer Eddie Vedder befriended when he first moved to Seattle.

So glad you found Pearl Jam. You will love their MTV unplugged performance especially Black, Alive and Jeremy. Be well Stacey!

Huh Stacey, soundtrack of my 20s. Without web or smartphones, only vinyl and mtv. Now I'm 52, I'm a husband and a father, but still headbanging😊. Good music 'til I die!!!

Yes, this is Grunge at its very best!
Oh, and, YES, we love Eddie Vedder and his voice and expression. And, YES, do react to the MTV Unplugged version of "Black". But do listen to the official video of "Jeremy". Just be prepared...

Vedder is definitely animated. Check out Porch (Live at Pink pop) for ultimate animation 😂

You absolutely need to do the live, MYV Unplugged version of Black by them. You will never see a guy pour his heart out on a microphone like Eddie in this performance. It’s life changing!

That jump/fall Eddie Vedder did, into the crowd, was TAME compared to what he had done at many other concerts! You should watch "Porch" live at Pinkpop, 1992! There's also a compilation video of a lot of the crazy, death-defying things Eddie Vedder did on their first couple tours. At some point, the band asked him to chill the acrobatics out because they didn't want him to get hurt!

Also, Eddie Vedder showing some amazing breath control here… flailing around like a man on fire, but then sounding almost exactly like the album vocals. Pretty impressive.

They're playing Missoula, Indiana, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Boston coming up this year. Eddie Vedder also has his own festival in California called Ohana. They're playing Friday and Sunday. He doesn't dive into the audience anymore though

I’ve got a cool story about Eddie Vedder. First I worked for an insurance company back in the day in the special lines field and remember actually speaking to Eddie about his boat policy! He said enjoyed calling instead of his agent! Very down to Earth and later we were able to meet at a Seattle Pearl Jam show so he was able to put a face to the voice on the phone 📱. ILL NEVER FORGET IT! RIP CHRIS CORNELL. The Seattle scene in the early 1990’s is unsurpassed by anything going on today!

This was very much 90s grunge scene. Always a flashback to my high school days.

Anything from their Unplugged session. In fact, the entire thing is probably about 30 minutes max. If you watched the whole session, I promise you people will watch along with you. It's one of the most iconic Unplugged sessions ever. Pearl Jam is a part of the "big 4" of the grunge era. Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden are the other 3. All are worth a deep dive, and Nirvana and AIC's Unplugged are also iconic. Speaking of jumping into the crowd, I highly recommend Porch, live from Pink Pop in 1991 or 92. Stone Temple Pilots deserve a mention in that era, even tho I don't think you can categorize them as grunge.

You need to check out their most iconic song Jeremy. A visceral song about a child who committed suicide at his school in front of his classmates. Also, Better Man, Yellow Leadbetter, Alive, Black, all classics worth checking out.

Eddie sure was animated, he was quite notorious for climbing around the stage during performances like a monkey.

And he has a super unique voice. You can't mistake it for anyone else once you hear it.
