- Transparency Capture Unity Tutorial

If you need a PNG with a transparent background on an image you can checkout Transparency Capture for unity. It works quite well but needs a little set up.

This is what the description from the Unity store says "With Transparency Capture, you can save screen shots (not include GUI) as PNG file without background color, and the screen shot can even include transparency (alpha value) from scene objects. "

How to render out a PNG from Unity with a transparant background?

I am trying to capture a rendered object to a PNG with the background transparent. I have no problem capturing the image in general, and currently I render it onto a green background and cutout the object using a custom color key algorithm and some basic logic so that the object can still contain the color green without issue. The process I use currently works but it is slower than I would like,

Unity3d - How to do transparency images?

In Unity, in the asset explorer, if you click on your .png image, you should be able to select the texture type. It is definitely possible to have textures with transparency. You should also simple check that you saved your png image with transparency

If you save your rendered image with alpha (for example in PNG), it has transparent background

I use unity 2021.3.14f1, render pipeline is URP, In recorder window there is no "include Alpha".

Do you know how to capture particles with this method ? On my side I didn't see them in the PNG saved, I tried with normer settings, then it appear but with soild color didn't appear
