Young Woman's Off-Grid Tiny House & Farm By The Ocean

Situated on a dream family farm overlooking the ocean, this young woman has created a beautiful tiny house to call home.

The farm has been in Kacey's family for 150 years and 5 generations of her family have farmed this land. Still today, her grandparents, parents, aunties, uncles and siblings share this beautiful bit of land together.

To be able to return home to the farm after collage, yet still retain her independence, Kacey decided to build a tiny house. The resulting home is wonderfully constructed with everything she needs. Its style is modern with a vintage twist. A wrap around deck creates fantastic indoor / outdoor flow and enables the home to take full advantage of its wonderful location overlooking the ocean inlet.

The tiny home is off the grid with power from an impressive solar array and water from the farms own supply.

Ultimately, this is an affordable dream home which has allowed Kacey to continue to be part of a family legacy while retaining her autonomy.

I love it when young people don't mind living near their family. It shows that there must be a strong bond of love and care and concern. I'm glad that she feels warm and at home with her family. That says a lot that so many of them are still around on the farm. Love this tiny house! This is my new favourite! I love the split staircase, the vintage/modern fusion, the stained glass, the macrocarpa benches, but most of all, the two entrances. I work on the land and often come home filthy - every time I see tiny houses with just one entrance straight into the living area, my first thought is 'what happens if you come home wet or muddy?' This house is perfect!

This is one of the most beautiful tiny homes I've seen. The layout is fantastic & Kacey has a great eye for interior design. I love the black walls and the wallpaper is an absolute delight.

Love the references to the ‘fight’ she and her brother have that he’s invading her privacy—and then you see where his home is located. Pfff…almost need a MAP! Lol. Loved that part where she suggest he plant a tree so she can’t see his house. OMG…bet they’re a hoot to everyone else when they get going. And this house! Amazing!
