11:50 Albatrosses rarely sleep on the water. In fact they are one of the only birds that can sleep on the fly . They have the ability to 'lock's their wings in position once it reaches it's desired altitude . Sleeping on the water is a good way to get eaten . Their largest known breeding site is visited by tiger sharks every year waiting for young albatrosses, just learning to fly, to land on the water so they can eat them. An Albatross, once fledged & on its own will be close to over 6 years old before it touches down on dry land again.
