Black Myth Wukong - Where to Bring the Fox (Snow Fox Brush Quest Walkthrough)

In Chapter 3 (The New West) in Black Myth Wukong, there is a spirit you can speak to that will give you an item called "Snow Fox Brush". She will task you to bring her to somebody in the Thunderclap Temple.

To do this, you need to go into Fox form and go inside a side room at the temple. Going in this room while in Fox form will trigger a secret boss fight against Non-Void. Defeat this boss and return to the spirit that gave you the Snow Fox Brush, to complete the quest and receive the Snow Fox Brush Curio. The curio extends the duration of transformation spells.

NOTE: Completing the quest you will lose the ability to transform into a fox, if this is something you wanted to keep.

[1:29] Step 2: As the Fox, go to Thunderclap Temple

I got goosebumps that the little story at the end of chapter 2 actually has a real quest in chapter 3. Made the story real. This game keeps on giving!

Man I completely screwed this up. I transformed into the Fox when I saw he wasn't attacking me and as soon as I did the boss fight started. So I killed him.

Weird. I did this but that cutscene where you go to him as a fix never played. The boss fight just began

The question is what if you die as the fox on the way there? Had NO idea where I was going and on the way there a couple of npcs attacked me. So IF I still want to go, now I have to hoof it there but will the quest still be active or is it permanently gone, now that me, in fox form got killed along the way? Just thought I’d ask.

i was kinda disappointed they decided to make her only for that one area of the game - even that chapter. would've been nice if we were able to use the brush to get around quicker.
