How do transmission lines work

Mostly we only recognize pylons and cables when we see a transmission line. Our new film explains what is going on between the pylons and what happens when the lightning strikes.

In the United States of America we use large electrons. 50HertzTransmission uses "small electrons" so it takes twice the voltage at the consumer unit.

Well, over 4 decades in the business and never once have I call an insulator an isolator. Where I’m from they’re called towers, not pylons. You’re statement about triangle configuration is also misleading, every 230 Kv and 500 Kv structure I’ve worked have verticle construction. Lower transmission and subtransmission voltages such as 34.5 Kv, 69 Kv, 115 Kv, may be in either configuration. Btw, your video didn’t explain how transmission circuits work, just a slick advertisement.
