Today we are building the perfect starter factory in Satisfactory. This is a very fast paced video and something I've never tried before so please let me know what you think in the comments.

This channel is all about the creativity side of gaming. I personally love building games. That can range from a Survival game like 7 Days to Die, all the way to games like Satisfactory where the only focus is Building.

>Starter base
>Glass, beams, floor holes and the such

I mean it looks nice to make in Creative I guess but this is quite literally impossible to build as a starter. Starter factories are doomed to all be big foundation platforms and nothing more.

Great video, with lots of detail and useful techniques & ideas. However - I think your definition of "starter" and mine are quite different. In my opinion, if you have glass, beams, and frames available, you are *WAY* past "starter". 😁

Feeding all those biomass burners would be a chore unto itself. By time you can get all those mats, you really should be on coal power at that point.

Ok, now we need a starter-starter factory to make materials for Starter factory

Personally I thought the video format was a bit fast. There a few times I felt like I was guessing at was being done. I figured it out eventually. Maybe just add in what recipes your working on. You mentioned 3 of them so I was able to extrapolate the final. After the I built the this layout I switched the copper sheets to cement. Based on my current setup that was a better option for me. Lastly what are your inputs? Impure, Normal or Pure nodes? My guess is Normal nodes.

I really like this tutorial. There's a few spots that seem to jump around but honestly I think if I were building along with you I wouldn't get that feeling. I can tell that filming this would be a huge challenge!

I enjoyed this video even though I was left frustrated about halfway through and eventually just took the core design and made my own starter from it. Few points I would like to make;

1. This is not a starter. It is producing starter components but it is in no way able to be built "starting".
2. No Concrete production in the build. I found enough open spaces to fit some in though.
3. Pacing of the vid was incredibly fast, so much so that you didn't identify all your constructors or smelters. Eventually I was able to figure out the other production lines.
4. Your transitions from floor to floor and left/right sides did not orient the player as to what wall you were working on. Thankfully, there were visual clues if one rewinds or keeps watching but it was not pointed out.
5. You are using the concrete foundation skin on the ground floor which is incredibly hard to judge position on from more than 20 meters away, nor did you state the position of any object placed. Using conveyor lifts and floor holes requires exact placement that you cannot check between floors for until placed.

Other than that, this is a very aesthetically pleasing build and I appreciate the video to get a better understanding of your technique.

Very good, if you don't understand, just put the video in slower playback.

Hi, the second 4x5 platform in the beginning. Is it low like the first one or level with the raised 3x4.?

Honestly a very good video! Like the pace you have going on. Pretty straight forward! Keep it up ^^

This video does a great job of showing the kind of mindset people should have when they go to build a factory. Plan all the inputs and outputs, build vertically, try your best to be compact and organized, etc. However, making something this organized and then having biomass burners power it is really just a headache, I'd say definitely organize a coal powerplant before making anything like this. Also, I was impressed with the speed of the video, but got lost a couple of times on what you were building where and why.

I found this very helpful. While I agree this is more of a compact factory instead of a starter factory, I was able to reproduce this with some modifications. I have less than 25 hours in the game so I did not have the ability to make glass (no steel), roofs, angles or decorative walls. I used standard walls and foundations, I also used my first set of coupons to buy the walls with conveyer holes. I was struggling with how to make my first building, up until this point I just had everyone on a large slab of foundations. I found this video very helpful in that aspect. I do wish it was about 10 minutes longer with some additional detail. I would love to see more tutorial videos, perhaps one for first coal energy set-up for example. It would help up newbies if these tutorials were a good 20-30 minutes to have room for additional detail.

I like the video style. A lot of information packed in a short time, but with breaks so it is easy to stop and back up to get what I wanted to hear&see.

Liked the idea and look but to hard to do at start have to spend hours and hours just working on getting points. by the time your actual able to build this i would replace the biomass burners with power storage units. instead of sending everything down for storage be better of going higher to build more complex pieces like rotors, plates and so. will use parts of this in the future though.

this would be great if you originally made your entire factory on grass and need to migrate over to foundation. I had gone up to trains before I decided to move to foundation
