BTW, a good way to get tickets early is feeding Raw Quartz from the two Quartz nodes that are close to your starter base and ASAP upgrade it to a small Quartz Crystal factory. It gives a lot more points than the items you're feeding right now. Check the amount of points that each item gives in the Satifactory wiki. Cheers!

This factory so far is already good enough to tempt me to tear down mine that I just spent hours putting together

Nice. I feel like your tight 90 turns are equivalent to my lane mathematics. Just gotta do it 😁👍

Really good video Nilaus, as always!!
I FINALLY bought Satisfactory, after playing Factorio, Dyson, Capt. of Industry, and Techtonica for YEARS!
Had to (Of COURSE) tune in to my favorite factory game tutorial master Nilaus for some help in getting started! This looks like a great start! Thanks for this Nilaus - Now to dive in!!

Getting back into Satisfactory after a ~2 year break - this series is very helpful.
I knew you were a guy I could trust after seeing you go to the trouble of having tidy belts.

Perfection! I love having organized and 100% efficiency factories

@25:27 you could have placed the splitter directly on the belt. It aligns, now.

Once you unlock tier 3 belts and belt lifts... I'll usually process all my ore locally near the extractors in a smelter array... (not using foundries yet) and push them into storage bins. I have both the input ore and output ingot of my smelters lifted up so I can walk under them and easily get to my machines without having belts on the ground. Then I'll run my ingots to their respective production lines. I always use buffer boxes! I'll even use buffer boxes coming right off of the miners to store the ores especially after acquiring the industrial storage containers, they hold more than 2x normal storage and they also give you two output lines which make for great use with the belt walls and lifts.

Nilaus, started watching your channel a few weeks ago and I've been binged watched it ever since. Great work, great content. Keep it up :) PS I rarely play the games you do, I just enjoy watching it :D

Looking forward to the new series! A few bits of feedback -- since there are no blueprints in Satisfactory, taking a moment to draw a diagram would go a long way to helping your viewers. Also, this has been said before, but please be specific with your word choice. You often say things like "that one goes there" but it's often not clear what you're referring to. Thanks for the great content!

Hi Nilaus, long time fan here; loved all of your DSP stuff and now am just getting into Satisfactory so naturally you're the first content creator I went to!

You and I both have this sort of perfectionist aesthetic mindset, and, I hope I don't ruin this for you, but if you go two spaces back and connect the belt directly, it isn't a perfect 90 degree angle. To get perfect, you have to build two conveyor poles two spaces back from the 90% corner (facing perpendicular to each other) Try it out and compare them if you don't believe me ;)

Also it is kind of difficult to convey (pun intended) exactly what I mean with the building so if it is unclear let me know I'll try to clarify

You’re right about the 90 degree belt. Ever since your last play through, I can’t build belts any other way. Thanks for that…

Your 90 turns made me subscribe, much appreciated.

I wonder if the misaligned holo box is a bug.

21:25 "Who could look at a base like this and think 'Ooo, that's pretty'?"

I can think of one YouTuber...something about a conveyor tornado...

I hope they swap the commands around, so the lines are automatic but you can hit control to hide/remove them
