The morale of Ukraine was severely boosted when Zelenski stayed in the country rather than calling it quits and taking a US offered plane out of the country for his own safety. Truly honorable. As of today Russia just made a huge retreat out of Kherson. Putin will likely end up dead or overthrown in the coming months/weeks

In Soviet Russia, the army doesn't equip you, you equip the army

I was born in Russia, my father served in the Soviet Army. I never believed that Russia would proceed with this war, exactly for the reasons stated in this video. It's obvious that Putin mistook Russian speaking for wanting to be a part of Russia. My father experienced incompetency in the Soviet Army first hand. He used to tell me about the broken equipment, corruption and just how drunk all these military officers were when he was stationed in East Germany. Whenever a communist bureaucrat would come to inspect the state of the equipment, the officers and lieutenants would simply get him drunk lol. Most of those who serve in the Russian Army are social losers and it's compounded by the fact they're actually really poorly trained. They don't have to be physically and mentally strong to join. Just imagine if the Armed Forces day in the US or a day celebrating your military and Navy would be the most dangerous day for your country, well in Russia the day they celebrate their Navy is the most dangerous day for regular civilians. These ex army guys come out and simply trash the city, get drunk and it's the day where most rapes and criminality occurs in Russia. It was so scary in the early 1990's that my dad would not allow my mom to leave the house. Also The corruption is so rampant I truly believe these yes men in Putin's cabinet misled him about the state of Russian preparedness for any sort of war. They kept bragging about their "state of the art" equipment for years but anyone who has paid attention to the Russian military would know that's a lie. It's instilled in Russian DNA to lie through your teeth. Just like they lied about for weeks about the Kursk submarine sinking, they lied about the state of their military. My grandfather was a soviet Tank engineer and was in charge of the division that was tasked with developing tanks in the 1980's. His boss was non university educated communist party member who married a woman who's brother was a prominent Soviet politician. Just imagine your boss who oversees the development of tanks being a complete idiot with unrealistic expectations. Anyways, my grandfather was removed from the project for opposing these unrealistic demands. I'm not surprised if these same issues persist today where talented people are driven out in the name of ideology. Russia has suffered a massive brain drain over the last 30 years. Sorry for the rant, my Russian family (now living in the US) all fully support Ukraine.

Everyone didn't just underestimate Ukraine, it turns out analyst had seriously *overestimated* the strength and competence of the *Russian military.*
All those pre war _what if?_ videos about Russia versus various other powers are now proven to be very inaccurate.

Without nukes, Russia could have possibly been defeated by a single European Country - Russia is not the Soviet Union.

A, you forgot to mention that there were a lot of other countries that trained Ukrainian troops as well. Canada played a strong role in the training and improperation after 2014.

Russia should be held accountable for all the destruction and losses it caused to Ukraine.

the average life expectancy of a newly mobilized Russian recruit sent ot ukraine is about 2 weeks, some dead within a few days of combat deployment. In Oct during the Kharkov counteroffensive, a newly formed Russian BTG made up of new recruits with a few days of training was sent with T-90s to fight the Ukrs. well, the BTG was destroyed in two days of contact with Ukrs combat units, most of their tanks were abandoned. or destroyed ., top of the line T-90 tanks
