At least 75 hours of training in a state-approved program

Other Requirements:

Minimum Education -- High School Diploma

CNA competency test --

In New York, the candidate must take an online test consisting of a Clinical Skills Exam and a Knowledge Exam.

Requirements to stay active on the registry:

You must contact the Nurse Aide Registry and verify your employment at least once every two years to remain in active status.
