Great breakdown, appreciate your thoughts on M2 vs M3 since you have both in the garage. I had an M3 xDrive previously which I sold but loved it. Big reason for selling it is I now have an M2 (manual, and same color as you) in production and like you say they're are pretty similar but it's hard to justify keeping the bigger, less fun, and way more expensive one even though it is a great car overall. As you say the base prices are close to 20k and the difference between my specs was closer to 30k which is crazy

I picked the g87. Because I couldn't afford the g80 lol. Love it though. Zandvoort blue 6MT. Paying $1250 a month for the g87. The g80 was like $1750

Always wanted your input from having both. But that is wild though to sell the M3 but it makes sense. Not too mention you'll make out ahead on it financial wise. The M4 was my dream car until the M2 came out. I plan to spec it with ALL options. 77K. I could get a used M4 but man, I think I would choose the M2 every time IDK why

Awesome Video, I have a LCI G80 M3 XDrive, love it for the pure fact that you can switch between 2wd and Awd, think the M2 would be a game changer for me if it came in Xdrive. So for now, with 2 little ones I'll stick with the M3, maybe save up and get a M2CS and have the best of both worlds🤘🏻

There are some sligth differences in steering and shifting between M2 and M3CX. In my opinion M3 is just better car overall in terms of space, flexibility of driving parameters, interior quality and exterior look. As a daily I would never pick M2, as a 2nd car in garage it’s okey but there are other options on a table for that purpose at this price tag. For daily driving and a fun car at the same time take M3. You won’t regret 😁

excellent insight, been following your m2 vids lately and you got yourself a new sub... as a former g80 xdrive owner (which I loved) with a g87 6 speed coming in less than a month, I'm glad to hear the case for the m2. definitely will be doing a bootmode or jb4 on it. would be interesting to see a vid with your perspective on the different tunes available if you have experience with them. keep pumping out the good content!

Really appreciate the comparison from an owner's perspective. I also could not justify the extra 20K for the M3 and just picked up the M2. What company did you go with for the downpipe and tune? Only had the car a week and the first thins I ordered was oil cooler and front heat exchanger protection. Went with Zunsport. Haven't got them yet but will let you know how they work out. I think if you look at the M2 in context of the old E36 from the 90's with the squared off look, this could be an evolution of that. I think what took everyone by surprise was that the new M2 was not an evolution of the old design.

Great video! This is exactly where I'm currently at as far as which one to choose. You hit all the pros and cons right on. Have you seen any M2 front end mods, kidney grills, splitter etc?

a better price comparison between the two chassis would be m2 manual and m3/4 manual. My current combo is a g80 manual and tesla 3P. Tesla going soon, i never look forward to driving it and the savings isn't worth it. I think m3 xdrive to replace the tesla
