Do NOT get a Belgian Malinois

I have intentionally used the 'headline' so as to get the attention of any potential 'new' Belgian Malinois dog owner/owners

I hope it will make some reconsider if they can cope with the demands and care a Belgian Malinois requires

Too many Belgian Malinois dogs are now ending up in UK rescue centres or are being advertised by new owners looking for yet another home because the new owner just cannot cope with such an active dog

If you are considering getting a Belgian Malinois PLEASE think seriously if you, your home and your family are suitable for this working dog breed

They are amazing dogs but for what most people want a dog, they are better suited with a different breed. A malinois is for someone that has his/her dogs as a hobby and enjoys working them. For that end, they are best in class, but that’s not your typical dog owner profile.

i wake up and have about 20 mins to myself before both my malinois begin to annoy me on purpose in order to get there walk started as soon as possible ha very clever dogs, tbh tho best thing to get them out first thing because that settles them for most of the day until you have to walk them again before bed :/, i was wanting a third one this year but with my other half getting a new job its hard enough walking two of them + finding time to have a life But i wouldnt change or swap them for the world, these dogs are like very smart children act/play stupid but know exactly what they are doing at the same time, Edit correct back when i got my first mall 6year ago hardly anybody had them i even had police officer come up to me & ask me question about her But now im starting to see normal people having them as a status dog which is a huge huge shame
