i've been waiting 2 years for ragpicker king too, just so excited that it's out now hahaha... can't wait to read it but at the same time, don't know how long we'd have to wait for the next one (the bone conjurer according to goodreads) but cassie did say there'd be at least 4 books in the chronicles of castellane and im glad cos 3 books definitely aren't enough for such an expansive world and characters!!

I just went to the Cassandra Clare event for Boston last night, and I am SO excited to get into The Ragpicker King! I did quickly realize that I forgot a lot of details, so I need to do some quick research lol, but I'm hoping to get started this weekend.

Bridge Kingdom is actually a 6 book series with 3, each centered on a different couple. Reading 1 & 2 together would be very fun and the audiobooks (annoyingly audible exclusives) are pretty good too.

When Regan described why she's picking up the Adrian T., I thought that it mostly could apply to Malazan : no reason to be scared to start it !
Over 10 years ago, I was discouraged by the bookstore clerk to read Malazan because it would be too complicated and opaque (with strong undertones of "it's not a girl's book"). Being a contrarian little miss, I bought it and read the whole series consecutively. 😸One of the very best stories I've read.

Ultimately, I just want to continue working away at my overall tbr. I have around 30 physical books I own on my tbr (not including preorders that will come out throughout the year), and about the same on my kindle. But in March, I know I want to read: SOS Hotel: On the Road, Japanese Tree Burial, Boys' Love, Cosplay, & Androgynous Idols: Queer Fan Cultures in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and Spirituality & Alternativity in Contemporary Japan: Beyond Religion? (these 3 are carryovers from Feb), The Ragpicker King (reading now), Cassiel's Servant, Lightfall, Husky & His White Cat Shizun vol 8, and we'll see what else I get to.

Vanished Birds was one of the best books I read last year, was a bit of a sleeper hit for me…. I absolutely loved The Spear Cuts Through Water and reading this earlier novel I was so pleasantly surprised. It felt so dreamy and emotional and hit so hard in only the way a good space opera can-making you feel all the feels spanning all of spacetime ❤

Im excited for malazan.. i stop at book six, now might wanna reread back too then cont. Malazan is always remind me of my fav manga one piece. They're not same but there is something tht made me think of the manga, something like puzzle in the world tht reader need to connect. What i love about malazan is the world building and how unique it is.

Crochet is pretty easy to pick up. I self-taught myself a few years ago via YouTube. Practice your chains, single, half double and double stitches and your tension and you will be good. Wash cloths are the best to learn with, as well as scarves for something long and not too daunting. It takes a couple months of practice and you should be rocking and rolling! You got this!

My priority this month is to read all the new releases I got from the library. I’m almost done with I am not Jessica Chen by Ann Liang. Then I have get to oathbound, first time caller, a crown so silver, our infinite stars, and the encanto’s curse.
