Was going to make a comment about Tim Walz, but first - 1:47 - Dude, I love that jacket.

Second thought, though - Tim Walz only represents the "white guy" vote to those to whom that matters, i.e., typically those on the fence from the Republican side. Specifically, it matters in the MidWest where, even as a democrat, he still shows he appeals to Republican in an area they typically dominate. For THOSE voters, it's a concern.

To those who already lean toward real democracy and are already inclined to vote along Democratic lines, that likely means very little. To those people, Kamala represents ideas, and so does Tim Walz. They represent integrity, service, dignity, inclusion, choice, fairness, justice and a lot of other things that are important to everyone, but which Democratic voters typically recognize more than the folks on the right.

Having a white guy on the ticket is only important to those who come from the side of the fence where color matters to them, ie, defecting Republicans looking for someone they can trust who isn't P01135809.
