So, something I learned recently. After his DUI? He got on the wagon. He quit drinking entirely. Not just while driving. I can respect a man who learns from his mistakes.

On the DUI arrest - that was back in 1995, 11 years before he was elected to any office. He was a newly wed and a teacher and coach at the time. He plead guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving, then paid $200 + court fees. He offered to resign as a teacher, but the principal ultimately turned him down, allowing him to continue teaching. Since then, he hasn't had a single arrest since and claims his drink of choice is diet mountain dew.
I say all this because it's important to know. And to me, this feels like someone who made a mistake once, felt horrible about it, and tried to do better. If anybody brings it up, remember, this was over 30 years ago. People can change and learn from their mistakes.

He spent 24 years in the Army. He exited as a COMMAND Sergeant Major. I'm a veteran. He's probably the first Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate I've actually liked in far too long.

I moved to MN in 2020 and I love Tim so much. I'm really proud of him as VP pick. He's not just approachable, he's fearless and steadfast in holding to his principles.

He wasn't just a small town high school football coach. Before he showed up the team was 0-27, after he started coaching they became state champions. He's a freaking great coach!

I was at the Harris rally in Atlanta and loved her positive tone. I think Walz has that, too. They are banking on a campaign of hope over fear and hate. I hope this motivates people to vote. Encourage your loved ones to vote. Help them check their voter registration.
