For the third night in a row, the Democratic National Convention packed an evening schedule with impassioned, compelling speakers from former President Bill Clinton to Pete Buttigieg to, finally, vice presidential candidate Governor Tim Walz, who left the convention crowd exhilarated long after he left the stage. As an old American, who is almost 80, this is the kind of world I want for my grandchildren. A world where children will cry when they talk about their love for their parents. A world filled with acceptance of other people who are different than they are. A world filled with laughter. As a Minnesotan, I am not at all suprised by the enthusiastic response to Walz from Americans. What astounds me, is that it's taken so long for ANY political party to undestand that they need more folks in public service like Tim.
