You missed the best part. At the end when he says something like, "Don't tell me we don't care about these people."

Zane is like: "Enough wasting time here, Mike. Go home to my daughter and make me some super-smart grand babies."

The thing is even with a photographic memory he still has to read and pay attention to every one of those cases at least once. That's more dedication than most of us can expect in anything, anywhere, ever!

"so rule against us if you have to your honour but don't say we don't care"

If I remember correctly that was the first case Zane was in with Ross. Zane's head turn during the page number part means he always knew Mike was good, but it was only then he realized HOW good.

Insurance companies are universally "wolves in sheeps' clothing" wearing 3-button suits, and claiming to be your friend... 😰

That case with Lawrence Green sent a shiver down my spine because that was very similar to my case, except they (the Doctors/Urgent Care) tried to write it off as a “pulled muscle” because I was young. Fortunately we caught it before it hit the organs…but it did do a number on my back and turned some small bones to dust. Happy to say I’m almost 5 years in Remission. Currently 31.

Mike Ross is second to none in his own category... photographic memory and being smart is quite a combo

I'm an RN and years ago when the HMOs were out of control a ER physician told me that a man came in because he fell off of a ladder onto his arm. He had all of the signs of a broken arm so the doctor ordered an X-ray, but for any diagnostic test they had to get approval from the insurance company first. The insurance company refused the X-ray. So the doctor takes the phone and asks who he is speaking to. The guy wasn't a doctor, he wasn't even a nurse. The doctor said, "I'm an ER physician and I'm telling you this patient has all of the signs of a broken arm AND HE FELL OFF OF A LADDER ONTO HIS ARM !!!" The guy said, "I don't think he needs an X-ray so I am denying it." The doctor said that he was going to order it anyways and he did, and the guy's arm was broken in two places. That is how bad it used to be. They had non-medical people making the medical decisions. They would try to deny EVERYTHING and if the hospital didn't argue then it didn't get approved. There were thousands of horror stories like that and even worse.

Hollywood dramatics aside, you’d be surprised how much you can remember if you can convince yourself to care.
I learned this lesson from a wonderful teacher in the fifth grade and I hope passing it on in this comment section makes this look less like a miracle and more like something you can do too.

The Benefits of Perfect Recall, Once you learn something you can Recall it all at a Moments Notice, downside is you can never forget any Horrible thing you learn.

Even if I have a photographic memory, I will be too lazy to read 5000 pages 😂

As an RN, I deal with the insurance crooks daily. They don't give AF about you.
