for me coconut has more uses compare to red palm. in coconut you can eat the white flesh especially when it is young (Buko) you can also drink the water, when the coconut white flesh get matured you can extract the coconut milk to use in cooking like curry, rice cake and more. in coconut the matured white flesh when it is dried you can extract the oil also use for cooking and many more. Now the red palm..nothing you can eat in the fruit, the product is only oil. so that's why Philippines preferred the coconut compare to the red palm. Thanks!
