In a survey by the Philippine Sunday Magazine Weekend, the top three best-tasting Siopaos in the Philippines included this ROBERTO'S Siopao. One of the other two was Masuki Siopao from Manila, but I can say ROBERTO'S SIOPAO of ILOILO CITY is the best-tasting Siopao in the Philippines. There are two other Siopaos from ILOILO that I like, and these are KONGKEE Siopao, main branch is just across the street from Roberto's. And there's TIGER BAO SIOPAO, a new entrant but truly delicious. It's only outlet is at the Lower Ground Floor, Food Court, SM City ILOILO Mandurriao.

Whenever I was fortunate to travel to the Philippines with my family, my Mom would ALWAYS make sure to get Roberto's sio pao. She exudes happiness when got to eat them.

I’m from Iloilo and been eating this siopao for a long time. Fun facts about Roberto’s resto:
1.) it deserves “Chooks-to-go’s” slogan because it is “Masarap kahit walang sauce.” And they don’t serve the siopao with sauce.
2.) the queen siopao (shown here) is the largest. The 2nd largest is the king siopao. There are 3 other siopaos. Each one has different combination of ingredients.
3.) their siopaos are not their only best sellers. People definitely love their meatballs on a stick and their lumpia shanghai with sweet and sour sauce.
4.) in case you’re expecting a posh resto, it’s not. Also, there are no parking spots but people still flock the place.
5.) as far as I know, they refuse to grant or sell franchises. It’s a family owned restaurant and their specialty stays with the family.
