Another vote for the Black Magic Camera app deep dive tutorial! Someone elsewhere said you can preview a lut while filming in log using that app so that would really help with what you’re explaining in this vid about needing to compensate for Apple’s default overexposing.

In this video, you recommend underexposing Apple Log to force a low ISO and reduce noise. However, in your video about the Blackmagic Camera App, you recommend using ISO 1250 because of the higher dynamic range. When exposing at ISO 1250, do you suggest to 'expose to the right' with a variable ND filter and zebras?

yes on the BMC app. Particularly with the Zebras, and exposure preferences.

Hi Matt, thank you so much for the tips..

Just a heads up, you said “Now you can film in Apple ProRes in 422” 422 it’s just an option in BlackMagic Camera App and not in the native camera app, cause in the native it’s 4444 and not 422.

Any chance you can tell how you make the transition effect from the log to the colorized version of your video? 😊

Lock your white balance is a huge save! Phone kept recorrecting the video and it was driving me nuts. Thanks for that!

Thank you so much! Pressing arrow and get the more precise controlling 🤯 Learned so many new things. Did you film this video in log?

Can you control the shutter manually? Would be nice with split nd 8-16-32 filters to attach in bright situations

Great presentation! My question is: Any available presets for both Logs and Luts, in which no need to engage in the color correcting process?

Is there a way to monitor the exposure? Like an app that includes waveforms?

Thanks for the tip!

How would you recommand to fix the exposure in the case I'm filming myself? I am alone a have no one correct the brightness on my phone for me

I matched my settings in camera exactly the way you did, but every time I hit the ProRes with the slash through it I get the warning that this is not available unless I use external storage. What did I do wrong?

Great tutorial as usual Matt! May I ask how do you color grade your studio footage in your tutorials? Do you actually use any of your luts? If yes which lut (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6)?
I suppose you're shooting in log right?

So, is it possible to match the colors of the footage if we shoot on Slog 3 +1.7/2 and Apple log -1.
