I don't have a GH7, but exposing ETTR on the S5 can make skin colour look a bit plastic-y. I do over expose, but I keep it 0.5 to 1 stop over - or, if controlled lighting, I try and aim for 42/45%.

have you tried the new xlr adapter on an s5ii by chance? i've seen some people online who say it works but doesnt give you 32 bit float, others sat it wont be recognized at all. thanks

Things like audio 32bit float, great IBIS and many recording conveniences are awesome, but at this size/weight and price, I'm struggling with the value proposition. Full frame gathers 4x the light of MFT which is a huge improvement in cleaner images, more dynamic range, better low light performance, more flexibility with depth of field, etc, etc, etc and you can get an A7C2 or ZV-E1 for the price of a G7 and they are even more compact...
