I work for a stock major footage company, when it comes to frame rate it absolutely matters, I would strongly recommend 23.98 for everything, not 60fps. 60 fps will automatically disqualify your footage from consideration from all entertainment clients and most commecials ones.

Hey Matt, in the next video is it also possible to do a breakdown of how you add descriptions and keywords to your stock footage? That's a big struggle for me to get right. Wonder if anyone else feels the same.

Model release forms are only needed when the footage will be used for commercial purposes, they are not needed when used in Editorial footage.

As a wedding videographer doing multiple locations a year. I spend around 30 mins just taking generic stock footage of the venue. Another videographer will most likely purchase the footage since they can be in a crunch, or dont have a 2 man team to go thru the details

3 ) how do I get a release form for a spot that I had gone to ( still have access to but don’t wanna drive supper far ) to get the release form sign? It’s a racing spot and it’s Known

Good thing a bird did not appear in your drone shot above the trees because you would have had to get a model release from the bird.

7:52 So if you film the Golden Gate bridge in this case, who should I ask to sign the property release? I'm wondering because I can image the owners of some iconic properties have other priorities right?

I think this is like starting a YouTube channel. Everyone thinks it's easy until they do it. :)

Just LOVE your videos! They are always so informative, you're one of the best for sure! I would love to see a video on how you pack up and prepare for a wedding. Storage and transporting all of my equipment is something I need to be better at!

Appreciate the vid and love the insight/channel! Quick question on 4k60: any downside to upload this footy 2x slower? I’ve got several nature/ocean type clips that are kinda duds without slowing down/don’t look great natively. And of course, dolphins look better jumping out of the water in slow-mo lol.

Thanks man! And rando Sidenote: your IG reels are absolutely necessary to my happiness and laughter, you’re killing it on those 😆👏

Hey Matt. Great video as always. No mention of filming in national parks. Do they require a release?
