What if Texas Remained Independent?

Texas had a brief flirt with nationhood back in the 19th century, and ever since have been a distinct culture inside the US. What if Texas remained independent and never joined the United States? Here is a few scenarios.

Now I have lived in Texas my whole life and we have Texas history classes for full school years, 1 in 1st grade, 1 in 4th grade, and one in 7th grade, so I know very well that we would not have survived alone, but just for fun, here's a scenario where we did:
So after we won the Texas Revolution, we begin to boost our economy by adding more farms and cattle ranches and a few textile factories in Austin and San Antonio for more jobs. We begin to raise taxes to pay off the debt and through lots of trade in Galveston with European Nations we begin to slowly, but surely get the debt paid off. After the debt is payed off we have already declined annexation by the U.S. and begin to build up our military and soon declare war on Mexico. We succeed in taking our little country to the Pacific Ocean and soon later we discover oil. With this, we have loads of money and are able to become a fairly powerful nation in between the U.S. and Mexico. Eventually we abolish slavery and become a happy little Texas democracy. The end.

Here's a list of 10 possible Alternate Scenarios.
1. What if Austria unified Germany?
2. What if the treaty of Versailles was exclusively based of Wilson's 14 points?
3. What if Japan converted to Catholicism after the shogunate falls to religious rebellion?
4. What if Richard Nixon won the 1960 Presidential election?
5. What if Abraham Lincoln was never assassinated and served both terms?
6. What if the Glorious Revolution never happened?
7. What if Hungary won their independence in the 1848 revolution?
8. What if Nationalist China won the civil war?
9. What if the Chinese Empire attempted colonization (Americas and Pacific)?
10. What if Pedro II was not overthrown and the Empire of Brazil still existed today?

Texas is such a proud state like we literally have the shape of our state in almost every yard and house and wave our flag along side the American one😂

What if the Cuban missile crisis went hot?
Would the world end or eventually move on and if so, in what kind of condition?

Bro, you're a genius at coming up with these scenarios. You put a lot of thought into the information you're putting out.

We probably wouldn't have King of the Hill so that would suck.

Alright let's think: Independent Texas needs aid. So it needs to appeal to a country that isn't the US. It appeals to a colonial empire, let's say Britain for the sake of choosing a nation. In exchange for foreign troops and epuipment Texas offers the only thing it has, which it doesn't even have: land. By going into a territorial war, it pays off it's war debt with Californian acres.
So we have 4 countries with land in the US: Russia, Texas, the US, and GB. Then the civil war occurs. For the sake of capitalism, Texas aids the South (or the southeast, rather), and gets a huge bonus check shipping goods across the Texan-Confederate border. Rather than being strangled by the Union, the Confederates are decently supplied. This turns the tide.
"Enlightened Warfare" becomes a bloody meat grinder. The civil war ends in an armistice. Now we have 5 countries.
New York, also benefitting heavily from trading with both sides, also secedes. 6...
Rather than being one massive powerhouse, the US is now New Europe. Mexico and Texas will probably butt heads again, but this time the Texans get their hands on some sweet hand-me-downs from the civil war, , as well as some money to play with. Here, either Texas or Mexico will come out on top, with Texas trying to get as much land as possible to put itself on a reliant footing.
The gold rush sees a huge boom in immigration. Britian and Texas alike are shitting themselves. Silicon Valley is discovered. Texas, Two-Three times its size now, is rolling in the natural resources. It becomes a serious competitor to even the Northern States.
OIL!
MORE OIL!
SO MUCH F***ING OIL!
At this point Texan Imperialism in the Caribbean might be feasible. It had a massive immigration wave from the gold rush, so manpower isn't an issue anymore. Rather than the Spanish American war, we have the Spanish-Texan war. This either ends with Texas getting dat land or texas backing off to a variety of reasons.
Alaska, what about Alaska? Texas, on impulse, buys the second Louisiana purchase (which is really what it was) rather than the US, because Texas has closer borders to Russia, its owners. More wealth for Texas. Esentially going from zero to hero, Texas becomes bigger than the North and South.
Germany contends for world power. The Zimmerman telegraph goes to Texas rather than Mexico, maybe even the Confederacy. Texas, nationalist as f*** due to its unparalleled success, chooses sides, and decides the First World War.
A: it will honor its close friendship with England and aid them
B: it will take a good long look at the resources that it gave away for basically nothing when California was still not fully explored.
A occurs, it actually is the war to end all wars. Good guy Texas essentially does what America did in WWI, a lot more aggressively. The treaty of Versailles occurs the same way, and essentially we kind of get back on track with regular history. WWII occurs, with the 3 americas doing their own things. Then the Cold War, with all of her armed conflicts we know and love today occuring.
B. A lot more fun happens. Germany wins! The assholes in Germany never take power. The holocaust never happens. Texas pretty much gets all of America, overshadowing the East coast and feasibly absorbing it. Hell, it may even take pieces of Canada, presumably East of Alaska. It probably invests in or walks into and takes the Panama Canal, capturing all of the independent sh---holes we call countries in Central America.
Japan also gets a piece of the action, as Russia will be weakened by the Revolution.
Europe is united, Japan satisfies it's need for land and resources, and the Lone Star State becomes the 75 United States of America.
From division actually comes unity through aggression. The world has much fewer countries. Countries like Haiti aren't. Expansionism becomes practice, not debated concept. Rather than 2 major world powers, we have 3, possibly 4: The UST, the USE, The Japanese Empire, and, presuming it didn't get wiped by Germany, the strong but wounded USSR.
Can't really think of anything feasible at this point, because I am going after feasibility here. What would happen between 3 world powers that are stronger than any known country today that are clearly allies (I'm pretty sure Russia is just screwed, no chance in hell that it will exist long under communism between 2 Imperialist nations)?
A border dispute takes place, and two allies go to war, dragging the other one way or the other? The nuclear bombs are used in a combat zone?
The most likely event would be an even more complex Cold War, followed by either peace or total nuclear annihilation.
