Go with the premium if it will be your every day car. Has a lot more creature comforts, a little quieter on the inside wireless charger leather seats steering wheel warmer etc. 2nd car or weekend car get the base. A normal person won’t know the difference but please get the v8 either way. The v8 sounds so good, it even sounds angry at times.

Go with the base Mustang GT if you're going to modify it. Go with the premium package if you're going to leave it stock or close to stock. 10R80 auto is better for straight line, drag race performance. Manual is more fun on the streets and better for road course/track performance.

The premium GT has the Night Pony Package which gives you the black rear spoiler, black painted roof, black side view mirrors and black horse and GT emblems

The black roof is an option. Looks good with that color on that premium. Looking at that Mustang GT. . I don't need a badge to tel me it's a performance pack. Regarding the ride. I don't find it rides harsh for a Sports car.

Preordered 2024 mustangs 27% were ordered with manual transmissions

Auto is usaully faster than the manual in modern performance cars and the fastest is the auto base Dark Horse Non track pack with the 3.55 gears. Did Ford send you the performance pack with magnetic shocks. The base Dark Horse without the dark horse track pack is the best riding Mustang. The Auto GT performance pack is faster than the base GT because of gears. You can get the premium features without the performance pack and with the better brakes too.

I still would prefer and actual hand break, and remove the stupid tv screens. They really need a more basic interior with less of a tech focus and more of a driving focus. Update the gaguges, but recess them so it doesn’t stick out so much.

Both nice cars the vapor blue looks great on the premium trim. Personally I'm not a 6 speed manual or go home guy. I had a Gen4 Camaro with the LT1 and Borg Warner manual back in the day, the skip shift to avoid the gas guzzler tax was very annoying, not sure if they improved this design at least on the Mexico built Tremics GM used on the Gen 6 Camaros. The 10 speed autos are plenty of fun to drive and are actually faster.

I’m not going to road race the car, an occasional trip to the drag track would require me to get the automatic as it’s faster and better for daily driving.

I haven't read through all the comments and maybe I'm a day late and a dollar short but, why is my impression of the dashboard looking like an after thought? It looks to me as though they discovered the dashboard was missing so the quick and easy fix was to add a couple of Ipads to the GT Premium and being a bit 'fancier' in the other one. What, they left the dashboard 'design' to a computer nerd? Really stylin' there Ford! I've owned 4 Mustangs, the last one being a '13 GT/CS. All of those dashboard designs played on the original design. Imagine doing a similar design to the outside of the Mustang...Oh...wait...Elon did!!! He had a 5 year old design that convoluted, battery powered pickup abomination. What to do with 10 feet of windshield. ???🙄
