Buyer's Market? No, it isn't. The prices being asked and the behavior of the dealers don't reflect that. The dealerships need to feel alot more pain before that becomes true.

best to wait 12 months. this is just the beginning.

Maybe prices are coming down but only for American brands, but I want a reliable Toyota or Honda and the prices still way to high.

I don't care if interest rates are 0% because I am not dumb enough to pay for these outrageously inflated MSRP.

I'm actively shopping for a new car.... and I've walked away from two cars that I've liked because the dealerships (different brands, different owners) have both told me in no uncertain terms that they will not sell me a car at less than MSRP and without their dealer add-on packages ($4k at on and $5k at the other). I used some of your tactics, and there was no budging. One Finance Manager point blank told me that he'd rather lose the sale than take the add-on package off. I was calm, polite, thanked him for his time and left. I don't think it's a buyers market at all.

Buyers market....but insurance? Better check with your insurance first before buying new car 😅

I dont see this as a buyers market yet. Definitely agree with waiting at least 12 months.

I got my Honda HR-V a little over $2K BELOW MSRP and without unnecessary add-ons, fees or anything of the like. I did NOT expect that from my local Honda dealership.

Just FYI, lease payments are low but dealers get you with the down payment sometimes asking for $3k or more depending on the vehicle. Dealerships just find another way to rip off the consumer. I agree with weeki370, it can be awhile before you can get a PPI appointment, plus there's the cost. I am hoping prices come down soon.

Bought a CPO vehicle from a reputable dealership and after a month I noticed that the whole rear quarter panel was repainted brought it up to the dealership and they told me that it was acceptable so then I decided to get the car inspected and found out that the rear crash bar was broken the truck floor was worked on I brought it back to the dealership and they bought it back but they claimed that the only reason I brought it back was because I wasn't satisfied with my purchase when in reality thr car was in an accident and sold to me as a CPO which was total fraud

There are two financial things I harp on when new guys come into our department as a union leader:
1) Plan for your retirement now and take advantage of all sponsored investing mechanisms.
2) Do not look at a car payment in dollars. Look at it as net hours worked per month (after taxes.) They are typically shocked when they see how many hours per month they work to have Carplay and a nice paint job for their commutes.

Zero sympathy for dealers going bankrupt.

I have heard that car prices are coming down, or the car market is crashing, from multiple "car experts" for a year or more. The market hasn't crashed, and prices haven't come down, much, if any at all. All hype and no substance.

Thank you so much for this video and for heavily advocating PRE purchase inspections!!! People would be saving so much money if they just spent the $100 for an inspection of a car they seriously want.

*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40, 000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85, 000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*

On my walk this morning, I went thru the lot at Glen Toyota in Fair Lawn, NJ. Saw one vehicle with a $45K MSRP and a $5K market adjustment. Didn't look at the sparse number on the lot, but from what I could see at a distance in the dark was that they all had market adjustment tags, just like they've had for months.

I don’t get how it’s a buyers market. I went to look at and buy a 2013 Camaro at a Kia dealership originally the seller wanted 14, 991. He brought it down 1000 but they couldn’t get me financing. The banks are really tight right now. I actually got financed through a credit union, but they didn’t want to give me enough to cover the whole amount so they were wanting me to put a bigger down payment which I wasn’t I told the dealership the bank said their car wasn’t worth what they’re asking for it. I told him I’d give him 12, 500 for it that they would not bring the car price down so I end up walking away.

I got a pretty good deal on a 2025 Honda Odyssey Touring yesterday that I wouldn’t have been able to negotiate without these videos.

MSRP was $48, 005 and I got them down to 46, 300. With an acceptable trade-in and a $4K down payment I walked out owing $38K.
