What has Sonos done in 2024 and what are they giving us in 2025?

Rounding my thoughts up for Sonos in 2024 and thinking about what they'd do in 2025. Do leave a comment if you have any ideas of what they might do or if you have any requests that I might have missed out!

What about an Era 200? With upfiring tweeter, larger than the Era 100, but smaller than the Era 300? That would be the perfect surround speaker.

Some new products from Sonos that I'd love to see:
1. Era 500s that can be used as main left and right speakers in a full Sonos Arc/Ultra System
2. Sub Max (double the weight and volume of the Sub 4)
3. Full DTS support (so that the Era 500s can be used for by themselves for DTS-mono, for example)
4. Sonos TV Streamer with HDMI 2.1 passthrough, also providing mitigation for Apple TV's poor sound quality and gain
5. Sonos AV AMP, so that the Sonos Amp can power a main left, centre, and right channel in an AV system, but still use the Era 300s as rear surrounds. Naturally, the Amp needs to be stable down to 4 ohms (2 ohms for short bursts), and provide full DTS support, with HDMI 2.1 passthrough.

If Sonos wants another GUARANTEED WIN, allow arc users the ability to add Era 300’s as designated left and right speakers. I’ll buy two more right now and I know the vast majority of their user base will do the same. No need to reinvent the wheel just give us what we want.

When are they going to allow two sets of the Sonos Ace to pair with a compatible soundbar? Maybe they will wait a few years for the Sonos Ace 2, to make us all upgrade. Along with the long awaited True Cinema.

I really hoped that the era 100 pro would have had been outdoor rated. It would be incredibly innovative to have POE powered speakers mounted in your backyard or patio, without needing an amp and speaker wire. Just a POE injector, Ethernet like you would run a security camera, and a few decently priced speakers.

Thanks for the year end review and new year preview. I like the Ace headphones especially the sound swap with my two Beam 2 and mini sub setups. The software continues to be an issue so I didn’t go with the Arc Ultra. The Samsung bar with my other TV has had no issues after several years of use so I’m sticking with it.

Above everything else, I’d love Era 200; smallish speakers with upfiring speakers. Second to that, option to easily switch your surround speakers to play stereo music separate from soundbar.

A lot of people would be happy if we could use the Full Potential of the ERA300 while used as Surround.
Only 2 of the era300 speakers working in a Surround Setup is the Most stupid thing I ever heard

Era 500? I guess or earbuds but the amp with the functions you said then my arc ultra is useless I setup a 4 or 6 era300 configuration

I really wish they'd make a speaker that SCREWS INTO a recessed light socket. I'd sacrifice recessed lights to use existing holes and wiring to just hook in overhead speakers. Even better if the Arc Ultra would allow these to be added to the 300/sub setup. I don't get why Sonos doesn't realize that their biggest benefit is slow acquisition of additional speakers, and that many of us want to build out to an insane Atmos setup. As it stands, none of the 'predicted' items would get me to spend a dime :\

1. I really wish Sonos would just give me volume sliders for center, soundbar surround, era 100/300 surround, rear surround, front height, rear height, let me customize my setup how I see fit. It's great to make things simple for people that don't want to tinker but they should just put it in a advanced tab in the app.
2. I really just want them to keep revising/improving the app.
3. Would be cool if they made a dedicated remote, that could also function as a universal remote.
4. Sonos Ace price drop needs to happen for them to be successful. At 449 they're not flying off the shelves. I think 300.00 is a more reasonable price for what they are offering.
5. Some earbuds to compete with airpod pro's would be good just scared at the price they would charge.
