Looking forward to your thoughts on this second version of the Sonos amplifier. I have the original Connect Amp and it has worked flawlessly for years. I enjoy your very informative videos and podcasts. Thank you!

Got this one for our TV setup and connect my turntable to it as well. Already gott the sonos system in the house so wery nice to have the same in the living room, and much better than the TV speakers.

This amp packs a punch ! I love it. I use it outside for my pool speakers and outdoor entertainment!

Had this hooked into Dynaudio Emit M10s and the Sonos sub for a while now. It's not a world beating system by Darko standards but it's got a clean crispness to it that I really enjoy.

YouTube shorts are the perfect format for the unboxing/teaser👍

Excited to hear how it compares to the powernode edge

Excited for this one! We've locked ourselves into Sonos for our TV setup and i've been eying this to clue in my bookshelf speakers. Would love to know how easy/much of a pain pairing a turntable really is. No buttons and it being entirely app based has had me concerned about switching

It's a beauty just to see. But... what sounds better, the powernode or the Sonos? Which would you buy?

I trialed this. It's good for music and connectivity but not for tv/movie dialogue. The class D nature does not provide the fidelity that class AB would of an AV receiver. I ended up returning it and getting an AV receiver of similar cost and it was night and day.

Just sold the Sonos amp and bought a Powernode. The Sonos amp was too boomy in my room. Had to reduce bass to minus 1 (which made it sound boring) to get rid of boomy bass. The Powernode is faring much butter. Obviously there is a problem in the room, which I can't easily fix. But the Powernode has a much more relaxed sound signature. Very happy so far! I really liked the Sonos amp when I had a pair of Mentor 1 Dali speakers, but when I upgraded to Rubicon 2, yeah, the sound wasn't good.

Very exciting! Would be interesting to hear your thoughts comparing it to the powernode. I’ve listened to them in a hifi shop paired with the Dali Oberon 7. And it was almost as if they snuck in a subwoofer when they changed from Amp to Powernode. Was it settingstinkering from the salesman or is the Amp really lacking that much in the lower frequencies?

Im also curious how this compares to a Bluesound Powernode. Is there really much difference in SQ? If so what are the differences? How is the soundstage of the Sonos Amp? Does it have a wide soundstage with reasonably depth? Doest it sound muddy or more leaning towards neutral?

Im in the Sonos ecosystem but i'm not supersatisfied with the Sonos Arc soundbar, especially when it comes to music.

So ofcourse i looked into Bluesound and got a Powernode Edge "on test". But i'm gonna return it. Nothing but connection problems. Tried everything. The times it did work i was pleased with the sound.

Now im also looking into this Sonos Amp since i have no connection problems or what so ever with my current Sonos setup.

But im not sure about the SQ of the Sonos Amp. Is it possible to improve the SQ of the Sonos Amp by adding an external DAC? Is that even possible?

All I want is good reliable Tidal connection. Do you recommend Sonos amp + Wharfedale Denton 80th, or 2 Sonos Fives?

Can you try to connect an eversolo dmp master edition to a sonos amp with the analog input? Or cambridge audio cxn100 to a sonos amp. I didnt know if that will works or how it will sound.

I’m really looking forward to seeing this, I’d also be very very interested in seeing your thoughts on the sonos port. I know you aren’t a big sonos lover but myself and many other people I know are the sort of people to have a traditional separates style system that they love in one room but sonos speakers say in the kitchen and bedroom and do want to make that a system that works conveniently all on one streaming platform. I’ve heard bad things about the port though in terms of its sonic performance with this even resulting in there being power supplies designed to make the port sound better costing over £250. So while the convenience is appealing the sonos port as a £400 sonic downgrade to your system really is not. So yes, I’d love to hear your thoughts on that too. Keep up the amazing work.
