PSVR vs Oculus Rift - Which is best?

On some games I wish the psvr camera had a larger view. Its an issue when you want reach something on ground. At same time be able to reach up. While standing.
Also the resolution could been sharper.

The only problem I have with the ps vr is low resolution. Other than that is amazing.
If Sony make a higher resolution version of ps vr, i would definitely buy it

Obviously the Oculus Rift's resolution, tracking, and overall performance is better than the PSVR, but the PSVR wins hands down in the physical design and comfort of the headset. The headset is so much more friendly to people such as I who need glasses. Though it is a bit heavier than the Oculus, It distributes the weight so much better and doesn't put so much pressure on my face and forehead. This allows for longer playtimes without discomfort and red marks on my face afterwards. It is also a lot easier to clean. It just takes a damp rag to wipe all the seat away. However, the sponge-like cushion the Oculus Rift uses soaks up all the seat and gets hair stuck in it constantly. Its a real pain to clean.

Bought a psvr for 199 eur. Happy with it for that price. Tracking of the headset has been spotless for me, tracking of controllers is a bit of a mixed bag (sometimes works great, sometimes goes bonkers). If I still like vr in 6 months or so, I'll probably get a PC device.

I don't mind the quality because in the end of the day it depends on how many games there on the market for example London studious is making so exclusive psvr games

Rift controllers are way better and the tracking is significantly better!

I also own both of these headsets, and after playing on a high end computer with a rift, it's hard to go back to PSVR. Besides few titles like RE7 (eventually will come out for all headsets) and Rush of Blood, I can easily say PSVR is becoming obsolete to me, unfortunately. Any game that's not completely exclusive to PSVR, I just wait for it to come out on PC platforms because of much better all around experience.

I own both and let me tell you, you'll have a much better experience on the Oculus Rift. PSVR is nice and all but the resolution is atrocious and the tracking is horrible, also the headset itself is heavier and kinda uncomfortable.

if i have a good PC (Gtx 1080 and i7 7600k), is better to buy the Oculus Rift?
P.S: I dont have the Ps4, so i need to buy the ps4 and the PSVR

If you have a PlayStation get the past if you have a good computer get the rift it depends what you have.

If you dont have a ps4, isn't the price about 5 or 6 hundred dollars?

For someone that doesn't have a powerful enough PC and already has a PS4, then the PSVR is obvious choice. Or say someone has a PC but with a 970 video card and needs to upgrade to atleast a 1070 (or preferably a 1080 or 1080Ti) then you're looking at spending at minimum $900 for the 1070 + Oculus Rift with the Touch controllers. For a 1080 or 1080Ti it's between $1100-1300

Sure you can use a Rift with a 970 video card but that's the bare bone minimum required specs.

So it's either spend $500 on a PS-VR or spend $1000+ on a Rift + video card to handle it.

Some great video there showing how much fun these things are to play. My only concern with VR is that, having been burnt by 3D with the public rejecting it in droves because they didn't like wearing "those silly glasses", the industry is replying by saying, "Okay, we called it wrong on 3D, but forget about that - now just strap this bucket to your head..." I love my PSVR, but I fear Sony may drop support within a couple of years. Hope I'm wrong.

The psvr has little to none SDE but low resolution this seems like it makes it much better can someone who owns a rift please try to explain the screen quality like how hard to read text

Own both and haven't used the PSVR in months. Not nearly as realistic as the Oculus. Oculus feels like a holodeck, better than Vive too.

I have a nice rig (gtx1080) and I will buy a PS4 pro soo, and together I want a VR headset, which one should I get? I like the exclusives in both platforms (more PSVR a bit).. so it comes to graphics, I know Rift is better, but it's that better?

U can now get PSVR for £320 without the camera or £350 with the camera
