this might be out of nowhere but I love sentinel Olak, he's one of the only goblins that isn't straight up evil, just tells you to go if you're not one of them, and if you come with Sassa he just tells you to behave, like, he's too old to actually go killing adventurers bro he's tiiiired

Does this have any greater impact on getting them to drink poison booze?

Should add you can also do this if you pass the skill checks with Alfira if you are a non-bard. (As passing them gives you the abilitiy to play instruments)

Dang I actually did play (or well multiclass into) a bard drow but didn’t know about this interaction. I have a half drow bard character that’s still in early act 1 I wonder if it will work for him.

Don't have to be a Bard to do the same thing and have the same outcome actually. In my first playthrough as a Seldarine Drow Ranger I also had a Performance option (different wording) that led to the exact same thing.
