The best Slipknot, and it still slaps 20 years later. it brought blast beats into the mainstream, and has the darkest material of any Slipknot album as well as the most ferocious energy. So much aggression... this will always be my favourite release by this inspirational band, and vibing on the vitriol got me through some seriously heavy shit as a messed up teenager.

I remember the first time i listened to this album - i used to listen to a lot of black and death metal, but when i heard this album, I can still say it is one of the most pummelling, brutal things i have ever heard. I have never known an album that just hits you like a sledgehammer like this.

I wasn't allowed to own Parental Guidance albums when I was a kid. As soon as this album dropped I had my friend ask his mom to get it for him and then sell it to me. Stellar investment.

What struck me about this album and lyrics, they simply catch perfectly mood and inner rage, struggles of ´00 or todays teenage generation. When I was 15-16 I felt exact same rage as this album.

20 years ago I bought this classic and will always listen to it. Joey Jordison's drumming was unique, he was the most popular member of Slipknot back in the day.
