i was raised on this type of music and my dad hung out with the OG members in the late 90's. sid went to school with his ex wife's brother and they became friends, with her family being a mix of Italian and Mexican her parents were big cooks so they would host a huge cookout sometimes and the OG slipknot members were invited. my dad knew they were in a band but didnt think much of it bc at the time he wasn't into metal and the band wasn't that big yet as far as he knew. my dad dint personally know him but its crazy to me that he casually hung out with a couple members of my favorite band. wish he had a picture of it but he didnt know he would get popular so of course he didnt just ask them for a picture
