Summary:
1. How is your life balance (4 domains: physical health, relationships, personal achievement (work, school, money, etc.), meaning and future (values and goals))?

2. How have your moods been on most days? (Do you still find things amusing or funny?)

3. How have you been sleeping? The average amount of sleep required for an adult is 7-9 hours. How is the quality? How rested do you feel?

4. How well have you been taking care of your body? Are you craving lots of processed, sugary, salty foods? That can be indicative of stress. Are you getting any physical activity?

5. How have you been feeling physically?

6. Who is your support system? Do you have someone to talk or turn to?

7. What are you doing that gives you joy?

The main issue I have with "average" statistics is the absolute disconnection from reality with night shift working class that absolutely minimal studies take into account. I and millions of other adults work in health care or service care industry at night where 12/24 hour shifts are normal due to companies who design working hours that way. Imagine while people talk about sleeping 7-8 hours a night we who take care of others are in a "health care" industry where we can barely sleep 4-6 hours a night. Travel time, making meals, going to school, shopping, cleaning and exercise in a 1.5 to 2 hour time frame isn't really possible. Mental health is for those who work 8 hour shifts and honestly, there aren't that many well paying positions that limit you to 8 hours a day. I sometimes get frustrated that the night shift world is ignored in almost all areas of statistics related to better health. Yet, we are the people who deal with the emergencies, the issues that are unpredictable and occur after 7pm to 7am and hardly anytype of acknowledgment is generated to the people who serve these hours. Anyway. I love this channel but like many others the statistics are far daytime people and that's ignoring a large population. I wish everyone well and stay safe!

Like all your videos another great one. I myself deal with bipolar to with a lot of anxiety. All your videos since YouTube suggested it had become a regular part of my YouTube viewing. My family doctor is my current mental health contact. A year ago my psychiatrist left the practice with a void of having no one to fill in and no referrals. Our two major hospitals in our area net work are so bogged down with patient loads. The one he wouldn’t even take my name for a waiting list. The other said it’ll be 7 to 9 months. it’s been 13 months. But I’m very thankful for my family doctor. She’s doing a wonderful job and helping me. Thank you, Dr. Marks.

Great presentation as always Dr. Marks. You are very knowledgeable and compassionate in your field. Although, I would never consider myself practicing in the field of psychiatry, I have a lot of love and respect for you guys because I know what you go through everyday. God bless you... 🙏🏼❤

Dr Marks, I am pleased that you mentioned A.I. therapy 🤩 I have been using Rocky A.I. Mindset coaching twice daily for 12 months and gaining exponentially trackable results! Previously, I relied upon Woebot and Wysa (both free) for CBT and gratitude. I love the freedom of having unfettered access 24/7 📈
Thanks again for your educational videos 🤝💗🙏

I love you all🙏🏽 Always remember you can’t appreciate the good without the bad. Life is all about balance so don’t take the negatives so personal. Rather take it as a learning experience and evolve
