Why the T-Rex is King

Let's take a look at some of the things that make T-Rex a great dinosaur.

T. rex was designed to hunt armored prey and had teeth designed for its bite with overpowered jaw strength. It’s thick muscles and bones would have crushed bones on bites. It was the pit bull of the Dino’s. No other land animal really compares. It was a monster.

Agreed on all points. T.Rex is built like your WWE wrestler, thick, bulky, muscular, ready for a frontal assault while the Giga and more so Spino are like a tall, lanky basketball player, still strong but not nearly as powerful as the rex.

T-Rex gets a lot of attention to the point where we take its incredible qualities for granted. It's nice to revisit the roots of why we, as humans, are so fascinated with this animal. I believe that the correct Term For Tyrannosaurus Rex is or should be (The Last King of the Dinosaurs) when you take into account that it lived during the Latter part of the Cretaceous.

Actually you do define size by mass. The blue whale is the largest animal to ever live because it is the most massive. There are longer animals. So T-Rex is the largest land predator we ever discovered. Neither Giganotosaurus nor Spinosaurus were as massive.

According to wikipedia (not always a fully reliable source, I'm well aware) T-Rex is consistently named the number 1 most popular dinosaur the world over, across all age groups.

Very impressive how it successfull managed the top spot for all those decades, against any and all comers.

To be fair, at least in the second book of JP, they admitted that the Rex's eyesight wasn't based in movement.
