Most dinosaur movies have a herbivore as the main character. I’m happy to see one that has a carnivore as the main character for a change. Also this movie definitely feels like prehistoric Lion King.

Judging from this trailer alone, I assume that the film is basically a dinosaurian version of The Lion King.
A young apex predator loses his father to a merciless rival and is forced into exile, then returns to defeat said rival and reclaim his domain.
The parallels actually make quite a bit of sense, since T. rexes have been compared to big cats like lions and most certainly filled the same ecological role in their environment.
