SAT Math: Percent Problems

preview_player
Показать описание
This video solves SAT math percent problems using the equation part/whole = percent/100. This percentage equation is also sometimes referred to “is over of” because in a word problem the part is written with “is” and the whole is written with “of” such as 10 is 20 percent of 50. This video contains examples from the official SAT practice tests.

Great Vids! Question: on your opening screen, there are three sample percent problems in a box at the top of the screen. The third one asks: "10 is what percent of 50"? Your answer in equation is 50%. Did you mean 20%? 50x=1000, so x =20.

Is not true, that 50%=1/2,
What is for you the concept of The percent ? You know what is a operator ?
When you will to calculate 50% of 12, you don't write 50% . 12= 1/2 . 12 =6.
because is not true 50%=1/2.
50% is not a number.
