Hey Guys actually in my opinion there is a more simple way for solving this type of problems:
Step 1) 40*30/100=12
Step 2)40 - 12 = 28
Step 3) 28y / 100 = 5.60 5.60 x 100 = 560 560 / 28 = 20 and twenty is our answer :)

100$ will be reduced to 70 $
1$ will be reduced to 70/100$
Therefore 40$ will be reduced to (70/100)×40
= 28 $

(28$- actual price 22.40$)
= 5.6 $
So, 28$ gets 5.6$ off
1$ get (5.6/28)$ off
Therefore 100$ gets (5.6/28)×100$ off= 20%

Guys according to him the answer is 20% but it actually is 15%

this is Wrong because 22.40 divide 28 = 0.8
