Thank you for actually spending some time in ECO mode. I've read that ECO mode is kind of a brute force crippling and that you can get better performance with lower power draw using PBO in negative mode and monkeying around with the curve. I guess that would depend on each chip a lot more, kind of like overclocking. I would love to see you take a swing at this, especially given you have an upcoming cooling video. Instead of just publishing the temps, please also run some single core and multithreaded benchmarks and give us a feel for how much reduced cooling capacity hurts this beast.

If I will get 1 of these chips, I think I will set it to 65W, it should have more than enough power for most tasks and temperatures should be more manageable on air cooling.

The 7950X at 65W cap may be able to fit in a small form factor build! Extreme, yes. Why not though?

Hopefully you get a i9 13900k to face off. Great time for consumers, and hopefully some price cuts/ bundle deals In the next few weeks months from both intel and AMD.

It's not just this generation of AMD CPUs that has the power up to high. My standard version of the 5800X is undervolted from Asus' BIOS settings and runs faster... It's pointless so I clocked it back down, but at one point I had my 5800X running (easily) to 5.1ghz on lightly threaded loads and running about 9c cooler at the same time. I'm no expert, but clearly the people that are saying the current gen of CPUs and GPUs are being overpowered are correct.
