But that was the first time that I extended a job offer to someone. And then I got buyer's remorse as soon as I did it. I was like...
I was like, man, I really didn't like him as a candidate. And I feel like I'm hiring him out of desperation, but I'm just hoping that some of the things on his resume might pan out. And surprisingly, like after we extended the job offer to him, he took like three or four days to respond. And I'm like, dude, if you're taking this long to respond, there's no way you're going to be able to keep up with my team. Like I need responses in seconds. Literally seconds. If you wait a minute to respond, there's a problem. He took three or four days to respond to a job offer.
So yeah, actually it was the first time I ever rescinded a job offer. I told someone, you know what? Look, it's just not going to work out. Promptness and punctuality is really important. I really don't care if you don't have the skills. I really don't care if you don't have the experience and just the exposure in any business, whether it's videography or case management or as an attorney in trial, I really don't care about any of that, but work ethic and promptness and punctuality. Dude, these are things that you can do with $0, with zero experience. You just have to want it. And if I feel like you don't want it, then I'm not going to invest my time in you.
So that's the first time I ever rescinded a job offer to someone. And honestly, I'm of the opinion that I would rather have two rockstars than six average people. And I feel like that's how I've built my firm. So I could easily have 100 employees now, but I'd rather have 40 experts, 40 sharks, 40 rockstars and superstars. And we'll do another video on the difference between rock stars and superstars. But yeah, we need more people, but I'm not going to settle. They have to have at least the same type of work ethic, tenacity, conviction, grit, and fortitude that you guys have. Otherwise, they just won't fit.

Corporations want to reject the candidate before the candidate rejects them

Is this a serious video? That candidate dodged a bullet if so.

This is micromanaging to the highest degree. You need an employee who will respond to emails within seconds? This actually creates burnout and reduces productivity. And many HR experts and career coaches can agree that rescinding job offers is a sign of poor judgement and unprofessionalism.

The candidate would be better off not working for such toxic employer and work culture... response in seconds LMAO!

But this dude can take weeks playing the HR waiting game.

You expect a response from a job offer in minutes? Lol. That’s insane; they don’t work for you yet! 😂

I had an employer give me 5 working days to accept a job offer. They rescinded the offer by day 3. Employers like you are huge red flags. You're the worst!
