As a cradle Catholic who recently reverted back to the faith, I walked into a lot of these issues. My take after digesting it all is once you cross a line where you’re questioning ecumenical councils, saying a particular mass is “invalid”, or the Pope is “illegitimate”, you’re now questioning the Church as a whole, which is a place I cannot go.

Joseph,

This has been 8 minutes of non enlightenment. Not one alleged "fundamental Catholic"
is identified. No evidence is even given that such people exist. Plenty of metaphors but no example, no evidence.

I'm sorry to disagree, but the premise of the argument against Vatican 2 is that by all measures, the church has been in decline ever since. Attendance, baptisms, confirmations, marriages, seminary enrollments, the number of parishes, priests and participants in holy orders are all down by alarming numbers. The Pope and his Bishops should be in a panic about it, but they are insisting that everything is fine and that Vatican 2 was a great success. Please explain? Is it Protestantism to want the Catholic Faith as it was for centuries, before one counsel overturned all the previous ones and completely changed the way the faith was practiced and understood?

The fact you’d dare to throw your own brethren to the wolves and label them as “Protestant” for bringing up clear and certain divergences in known history is despicable. Utterly traitorous behavior. To even conceive that Traditionalists are remotely similar to such heretical reprobates in and of itself shows a complete lack of understanding of the faith itself. I agree with the general sentiment that some get caught up in their zeal and make accusations they have no right to make. However to say that they’re on the same level as one who doesn’t believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist or believes the Solas are anything other than spiritual poison is a disgusting attack on the honor of fellow Catholics. Utter treason.

Since Vatican II, the Catholic church and Christianity as deteriorated. The large church of my youth had 4 masses on Sunday with standing room only and two priests. My current smaller church is less than 25% filled on Sunday with one mass. We have one priest serving 2 parishes. Now, younger Catholics have a desire to return to pre-Vatican II liturgy. This is being discouraged by the Vatican. Would the Holy Sirit lead the church to deterioration? I think not. Then who is in charge, man or God?

The Baltimore Catechism is still valid. The Latin masses are not only more reverent but have more believers in the Holy Eucharist. The Novus Ordo has like 70% of Catholics who don’t believe in the real presence of Jesus on the Holy Eucharist. Latin is the Church language and doesn’t loose the vernacular like other languages. Even exorcism are more powerful in Latin. The Novus Ordo was altered by a known Freemason who was made a bishop and he had 6 or 7 Protestant
ministers to help him change the mass that we know today as a Novus Ordo mass. The guys name was Annabelle Bugninii He was sent to Iran because of what he did. He even had a Freemason ID card. Here’s a free hug 🤗 for telling you something you probably didn’t know. Now look all this up I just said and you’ll see it for yourself. God bless you!

I think most traditional Catholics would say your
museum analogy is inverted. It would seem that the post Vatican II “reformers” abandoned the long standing methods and created something a of their own. Tradition is required by Paul in the Bible. He does not give us an optional take, but a command to hold fast to it.

But hang on a minute! How about.."God is the same yesterday, today and forever"? Do you mean I need to keep getting re-catechised as the years go by? I haven't even finished RCIA yet. Please stick to tradition!

Look, i agree i should submit my will to the magisterium and i attend the novis ordo mass. However Taylor Marshall is like...the only dude who is reporting on all the vatican corruption and keeps the faith at the same time. I know its a fine line....but i think we should protest the evils of mccarrick and his legacy that still exists in the vatican

I thought the video by Trent Horn was good and balanced. However, the title of this video is misleading. Bishop Barron didn't destroy anyone in particular. He really didn't destroy anything. Infact, there's barely a 2 min clip of him at the end of this video, maybe less, where he speaks on not burning down the entire house for the rot found inside. The problem I have is that Bishop Barron has been very vocal in denouncing those he calls "rad trads", yet rarely, if ever does he speak out against those on the other side of the spectrum, the "radical liberal" Catholics. Why is it that many of those within the USCCB, have no problem speaking out against the Taylor Marshalls of the world, but say nothing against the James Martins within the Church? Right or wrong, at least Trent Horn is speaking against both.

Taking the Eucharist on your hands isn’t like opening the Christmas gift the second day. Eucharist on the tongue while kneeling is the only respectfull way to the body of the lord

It's the TLM that's limited and restricted. So it's traditionalists forcing their views on others? Hmmm 🤔

Tradition and traditionalism is not merely an option for Catholics, it’s a mandate. We are called to hold fast to the tradition of Faith. It’s also not helpful, and May in fact be sinful, to call Catholic calling people to hold fast to the traditions of the Church and live holy lives Pharisees and Protestants

We don’t exchange Gifts during Christmas in my family, except for kids under 10. It’s not what we consider important at all. If I forget this gifts for the kids, so what. We celebrate the birthday of Jesus our saviour. King of Kings, Lord of Lords!
