My father has sleep apnea, my mother has it, my sister now has a CPAP. I began getting sleep apnea in my 40s. I read about an anti-inflammatory diet that had worked for others, so I had nothing to lose and decided to try it. I stopped consuming - alcohol, refined sugars, processed foods, breads, cookies etc, and I also started walking daily. Within two months my sleep apnea symptoms stopped, and I started sleeping through the night. It worked for me, it will work for you!

Gee. I have been on a CPAP machine for over 18 years. I have yet to pull/knock my machine off my nightstand once. I have had masks break, hoses tear, machine wear out (after 17 years) but never that.

So it costs about $40K before insurance kicks in, but what about when the battery in the implant goes dead, or some part of the device wears out or is faulty? Then they have to open you up again, and that's more money out of your pocket? No thanks!

I've never dropped my cap machine, or my hose. I love my machine, couldn't live without it ❤

Does anyone have the problem that the CPAP and/or mouth appliances have reduced their sleep stoppages to almost nothing, but they are still waking up with their head filled with sand/snow/cotton? If this simply because it takes a while for the brain to adjust to the machine so you wake up with a clear head? Because the machine has its own side effects? Or because of an undiagnosed brain condition in addition to the sleep apnea?

"You can expect to see a total bill of around $30, 000 to $40, 000 for both the surgery and device cost, but that's before your insurance kicks in". Wow.

I was just told I can’t have it because I hold my breath 56 times a hour. I really wanted that!

The most recent version of the Inspire includes the implanted device and a hand-held remote to turn it on and off. Unfortunately, there was a recall since the remote was also opening and closing garage doors and randomly changing TV channels.

I have it bad. I've been tracking my triggers for years. TOOTHPASTE. I brush my teeth without toothpaste before bed and I'm sleeping well. Garlic and raw red onion also trigger my apnea. Doctors did absolutely nothing for me. They actually made me worse. My apnea leads to anxiety issues.

Better yet, buy a wedge pillow, that will help prevent the tongue from blocking the air passage.
