I feel like treating them like this supports their addiction no one likes to feel left out. Now I'm not saying take drugs with them or let them take advantage of you but they need support and to be acknowledged as a person not an addict. Because they don't value themselves that's why they use, to escape that reality. Addiction is connection and drugs are their connection, no one wants to be alone. I always try to tell them I don't care if your high I enjoy your company. If you value them then how can they not value themselves but shunning them, locking them up for there actions just pushes them away from everyone else and closer to drugs.

I understand what you are saying. However, when it's your own son who has a history of addiction, got off the drugs and now there are reasons to think he may be back on drugs again, I'm not hardly going to avoid taking a strong stand against this behavior. He IS manipulative and his behavior is beginning to mimic previous behaviors when he was on drugs -- mysterious "friends" he claims he met "at church", aggressive non stop preaching the Bible and now he rages and besmirches those of us he very well knows are we who absolutely shall not tolerate dope. There has to be some sort of intervention available. If all there is, is "oh leave it alone and the Police will handle it" -- Uh, hell no. This is an illness and now apparently he has relapsed, of this I am convinced. Who in the pubic sector has the help we need for him -- even if he doesn't want that help? His previous rehab was made available by the Court and that is not available to him now. He has no charges pending now and I don't want this situation to get that far again and I do fear life threatening scenarios with the dope. His wellbeing is being badly impacted right now by something horrible and this cannot be ignored.

I think they should just sell tranquilizer guns over the counter, when dealing with a drug addict you can just tranq them every time you see them doing something disruptive and be on your marry way.. If you call the cops on them then the cops only hold them for the night then release them so they don't help..

You are actually a psychologist and you supposedly help addicts??!! Unbelievable!! Yeah, everybody, listen up, if one of "these" comes up and tries to engage with you, just "disengage with them and leave." All addicts, in fact, most addicts, are not selling drugs at all, which you really should know... And most drug addicts are not interested in getting others hooked on drugs!! You're laughable as hell!! 😂
