I focus on tournaments right out of the gate, especially the ones with horse prize...sell them, rinse and repeat...Super rich pretty much from start and getting decent armor

Keep in mind that a child's culture is determined by their mother. You may want your direct heirs to be the same culture as yourself if you want them to have the same cultural bonuses. Though, having some relatives of another culture can be very helpful when you need a governor of a specific culture for a city/castle you own. Also when marrying off relatives be aware that if a woman gets married she becomes a part of the husband's clan and leaves her own.

Another good use for noble prisoners after battle is that you can take them to an ally's castle or city and put them in the dungeon (assuming the dungeon hasn't reached capacity). You gain influence and relations with the the settlement's owner based off of how important the prisoner is. Additionally, a prisoner is kept out of the war until they are either rescued or have escaped. However, they are automatically released once peace has been declared between the two kingdoms.

Another tip to piggyback being a mercenary is to do your best to raid enemy caravans. A round of captives from caravans can pay about 5k in addition to the loot or you can donate them as prisoners for reputation.

When you use N to bring up your known people list it will mostly be grayed-out. To find people to marry, talk to as many lords or ladies as possible. This means talking to armies on the map, and gaining access to keeps in towns and castles to talk to the nobles there. Not all of them will me marriable, but as shown in this video there is a filter.

Easy kingdom for beginners to choose. Imperial.
3 kingdom’s Plenty of city’s and castles to take and easy to control.

Be mindful of the travel distant. Long travels cost time and resources.

Don't be afraid to have some lower tier unit in you force. You will be growing all the time so having some lower unit working up is easier than trying to get a large group of low ier units to rank up.

THe biggest tip is to know your warband size limit and that is not just the stat limit. Make sure the size is the size you like to travel at and your income can handle to force comfortable. There are time that tI am riding around with a band around 25 units where I could have over 100 because what my goal is at that time.

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me as I'm not one to pay a lot of close attention to the little details and haven't made big plans for what I'm doing with my characters or anything... but watching this and discovering that you can switch between characters when smithing?? I was wondering why I'd want a companion with a high smithing skill because that seemed pretty useless to me unless it just automatically added to my own ability somehow. So thanks for showing me there is still a ton I have to learn about this game. haha

I don’t know how I did it but I have around 190k mid game. Sold pretty much every equipment that I didn’t think fits on my play style and that’s it.

I just started playing and managed to woo Siga of the Nordic people. I wanted her cause i was a touring gladiator and she kept being my last fight. Being a warrior myself i wanted her to be my wife. Now we travel city to city fighting in the arenas and shes usually the last fight. Its amazing. No matter who wins the last fight, my clan still wins 😂 so cheese

As soon as i start a new campaign, i just go straight to Debana and marry her to sell all her horse related itmes for around 65, 000 denars and of course, she has the best armor you can get.

I've done several playthrough, tbh idsay play however you want, I've done a playthrough where I literally capture and execute everyone I come across, ivs done play throughs as a merc, a smith and a trader, honestly the game is designed for you to play how you wish to play. Best part is, you dont even have to do anything and the game still progresses, so you can watch the war of Calradia unfold as you please...

I've done this mistake of executing enemies that raided villages and tried to besiege my fiefs 😂😂 which i regret doing it cuz my fiefs were just near the faction (i was in northen empire lol, worst kingdom to be in).
