What does a gaslighter say when they are gaslighting you? Things a gaslighter would say are meant to make you feel small and insignificant so the gaslighter can control and manipulate you. While any person could gaslight, the narcissist is a master gaslighter in their game of control and manipulation. Things a gaslighter would say are things that target your own insecurities so that you doubt yourself and become easier to control. And you are with a narcissist you may frequently find yourself asking am I being gaslighted or am I crazy? What does gaslighting feel like so that you know you are being gaslighted? When you can understand gaslighting phrases you might hear, then you can be less susceptible to this form of emotional abuse an abuser uses. Why does he make me feel crazy? He makes me feel crazy because he needs you to feel crazy. The crazier you feel, the more it wears away at your self worth and the easier you are to control. I feel crazy around my partner who gaslights because they refuse to admit things or take responsibility so everything falls on me and is my fault. And if you don’t fall for their gaslighting in a way that keeps them in control, the narcissist may use the silent treatment in relationships. The narcissist will use anything they can to ensure they never make things about them when they can be viewed negatively. Why does my partner gaslight me? Why are narcissists so mean? There are so many questions you can ask about the narcissist and you will never really get an answer that satisfies because everything comes back to you being the problem and not them.
