The 11’’ isn’t thicker, only the 12.9” because of the mini led display being thicker. So only the 12.9” keyboard is different but Tailosive Tech showed that the old keyboard still worked there too

If anyone wondering which one to go for - i highly recommend M1 11 inch - its an IPAD not MacBook to have bigger screen - and believe me 12.9 is not handy at all - if you open in public every eyes are on you and screen can be seen from most people - 11 inch does its job well - iPad should be that size imo.

It is the larger 12" new iPad that was said to not work perfectly with the previous magic keyboard and not 11". Also, for a great side to side display comparison, you should have them on the same wallpaper.

That 12.9 seems so good, but it’s just too big. I really like the 11” for a daily driver. I’m buying this to replace my 10.5 2017 pro. I’m very excited to get mine in the mail

I heard something really good not too long ago about comparing displays.
When you go looking at the TVs in the store you get to see them all and compare them all back to back, but once you bring it home you don't know that what you have has better greens than any other. As long as it looks good to you when you're using it

I saw a classmate precariously balancing her 12.9” on our small school desks and I knew the 11” was for me. Plus being able to throw it in my purse even with the Magic Keyboard is awesome.

Still rocking my 2017 iPad Pro and in my eyes still the best iteration. They have not advanced much in four year because the original was light years ahead of its class. Infact I'll never sell my iPad because it still has a legacy headphone jack that I still use with my DAC.

Honestly, I feel the iPad is more like an enlarged iPhone than a laptop replacement. The idea of buying it as a laptop replacement could disappoint some people. The app's design is simply missing a lot of the crucial functions comparing to an app for laptops. Guess apple like any company would make their customer buy both devices. Nevertheless, I'm looking into getting another iPad for myself still.
